Experience deep, thunderous bass with the Polk DSW PRO 500. It sports a 10-inch woofer driven by an efficient 200-watt amplifier. This advanced subwoofer features Polk's exclusive Feed Forward(TM) technology, which reduces audible distortion without limiting volume. You get quick, precise response throughout the sub's entire frequency range, even at ground-shaking volume levels. The PRO 500 also includes the Polk Room Optimizer(TM), an ingenious feature that lets you specify the location of your sub with one of four options — corner, mid-wall, in-cabinet, or mid-room. The Optimizer then automatically equalizes the sub's response to ensure smooth, clean bass from that position. You can easily access this function, as well as the volume control and phase switch, with the included remote. Removable feet let you position the PRO 500 for either front-firing or down-firing operation, whichever you prefer. I bought this sub after looking at all of the subs at the higher end ($1000 and up). My room is 22 x 24 and I bought it to augment my Paradigm speakers-mainly for music. It isn't as tight as I would like but my system sounds better (yamaha receiver). It's fantastic for movies. I actually watch far more movies now than ever because the sound is so good.

I've only had this sub for a couple of weeks, and I'm so impressed. Solid bass, controlled and no distortion, it brings a dynamic to the music and movies that was lacking.
I wanted to get a good "bang for the buck", I have way more than I imagined possible.
The remote is an excellent feature, and in "Auto" the sub comes on when needed and shuts down later when it's dormant.
Highly recommended.

This subwoofer is an excellent addition to the Polk Soundbar 50 I got. The bass really rumbles and fills the room. It is night and day without it. Transformers and Blackhawk Down sound very good with this subwoofer. The fit and finish are superb. The remote and presets are an excellent feature. The price is very competitive. I would definitely recommend this buy.

This is a great sub at a great price. All my speakers in my system are Polk Speakers and this sub is a perfect compliment to the others. The included remote is a great feature. It let's you find tune the volume and crossover from your favorite listening position. This particular sub is a bit much for my current location (shakes the room and probably my neighbor's room as well), but it will allow me to upgrade when I can.

I have the DSWPro 500, and I like it. It's a decent sub for the money. I've heard better subwoofers, but they are much more expensive. This one does an reasonably good job at a very good price. I'm happy with it.
